Antigua’s Minster of Health, Wellness and the Environment Molwyn Joseph and Technical Adviser along with Dr. Shivon Belle Jarvis – Consultant Pediatrician represented Antigua and Barbuda in the Partners’ forum for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent health, were hosted in Delhi India under the auspices of the local government on December 12th – 13th 2018.

According to a statement form the island’s Health Ministry, MP Jospeh – on behalf of the Government of Antigua & Barbuda – committed to Universal Health Coverage, the initiation of a National Health Insurance and a Preventative task force through a multi-sectoral approach and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.

During an official speech, the Health Minister was said to have made a “significant impact” and resonated well with the youth who were “impressed by the strategies put forward.”

Antigua and Barbuda committed to adopting all appropriate measures and standards which will ensure that every Woman, Child and Adolescent has access to the highest quality of healthcare for their wholesome well being.
