The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) said on Tuesday that it has arrested two more individuals as investigations continue into the recent seizure of One Million Eight Hundred and Seventy-Six Thousand EC Dollars (ECD $1, 876,000.00) drug bust on the island.

The lot of Compressed Cannabis was intercepted in a vehicle on January 24, 2019 with one Vincentian male individual being detained with the find.

Gerald-Darroux and Glenroy-Pierre-II

The two individuals who surrendered to law enforcement officials include Gerald DARROUX, a Dominican national living in Golden Grove New Extension who presented himself on 4thFebruary, 2019 to the ONDCP along with his attorney while Glenroy PIERRE, a Vincentian national living in the Falmouth Harbour area also presented himself to the ONDCP on Tuesday 5thFebruary, 2019.

Both men have been charged with Possession of CannabisPossession with Intent to TransferBeing Concerned in the Supply of Cannabisand Drug Trafficking. They are expected to make a court appearance to answer to the charges on Wednesday, February 6th2019.

The ONDCP had issued a wanted bulletin for the men on February 1, 2019.

On Thursday, 24thJanuary 2019, the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) conducted a counter narcotics operation in the Falmouth area. 

During the operation a Black Toyota Van was intercepted with several bricks of compressed cannabis weighing approximately 469lbs.

Sydney NORVILLE and Godrey KING

Godfrey King, resident of Green Hill – Liberta, and Sydney Norville, resident of Marble Hill, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Monday 28thJanuary, 2019 to answer to the charges of Possession of CannabisPossession with Intent to TransferBeing Concerned in the Supply of Cannabis and Drug Trafficking. Both men were denied bail due to being a flight risk and have been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until May 8th 2019 for committal proceedings. 

Investigations into this matter are still ongoing.
